NEDA

The National Eating Disorders Association is an organization dedicated to improving the understanding of eating disorders and supporting recovery. Their screening tool is a good place to start for people who are concerned about their eating or think they might have an eating disorder. Their resource center offers educational information for individuals and loved ones.

Project HEAL

Project HEAL is a national nonprofit dedicated to improving equitable access to eating disorder treatment. They share a wide variety of resources on their website, including an intro to eating disorders and a search tool for finding treatment. They also offer individualized support through treatment placement, insurance navigation, and financial assistance. 

National Alliance for Eating Disorders

“The Alliance” provides education, referrals, and support for people with eating disorders and their loved ones. Their website includes accessible information about eating disorders and how to help a loved one. They help individuals find treatment options through their treatment referral database and via their Helpline.

ANAD

The National Association of Anorexia Nervosa & Associated Disorders is a nonprofit offering education and peer-based support for people affected by eating disorders. Their Learning Library includes a wealth of information about eating disorders and their Get Help section provides guidance for finding treatment and support. This includes a Helpline that offers emotional support, information, and referrals.

F.E.A.S.T.

Families Empowered and Supporting Treatment of Eating Disorders is an international nonprofit focused on supporting caregivers, families, and loved ones of individuals with eating disorders. They offer science-based education, guides, peer support forums, and caregiver skill-building resources.

Psychology Today Directory

Psychology Today’s Therapy Directory hosts a large, searchable database of therapists, psychiatrists, treatment centers, and support groups across the US. Users can search by location, insurance, modality, and specialty (including eating disorders).
